Title: The Card of Good Intentions

HP's The Card of Good Intentions was the fourth installment of this popular B2B site targeted to PurchasEdge members. Members could visit the internal site daily and contribute a good intention that added to the artwork on the site and could be read by other members of PurchasEdge. On the final day of December all of the submitted intentions came together to form one, overarching goodwill wish.

EC Book EC Book
Electric Company presents
'EC BOOK LAUNCH'
Mar 25, 2010

This is the inaugural volume of the EC book, a publication that explores, supports and celebrates creative production. EC recognizes that many of us who work in creative fields also live and breathe the passion of art and design in our daily lives. This book is the reflection of that commitment.

The work between these covers represents both EC colleagues and the interdisciplinary nature of today's content makers. Going forward the project will include themed issues, featured artists, and web content that we hope will work to inspire photography, film, illustration, design, motion, animation, music/ sound, drawing, sculpture, writing and storytelling of all kinds.

Based in Toronto, Electric Company Art & Design aims' to continue its extension as a hub for creative culture both locally and abroad through its creative branches Resistor Gallery and iamstatic.com.

Celebrate the launch with us, have a beverage and find out how you can contribute.

Thursday March 25, 2010, 7:00PM at Resistor Gallery
Please RSVP

Title: BOBO_______Year: 2010_____________________Interactive Installation
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BoBo BOBO

About BOBO:

Does the image of the clown make you giggle like a child, or are you petrified of the thought? Emotional or indifferent perhaps? The iconic image of the clown evokes both positive and negative reactions. For some, the mere mention or presence of a clown conjures up childhood memories of birthday parties and good cheer, while others are confronted with feelings of inexplicable uneasiness. People’s strong reactions to clowns offer them a mirror for their own joys and fears in the form of a caricature.

In this installation post modernism meets Victorian cyber punk with a touch of Pagliacci. An old weary traveler named BoBo has transcended time to appear for you in a magic mirror set in a mysterious booth. After his frenetic display, you emerge from the booth into the gallery space to see a curious transformation has taken place that involves you the gallery patron, becoming part of unique and unexpected art experience.

Come visit BoBo to see what other unexpected things transpire in the gallery space.

Title: Zupi_______Year: 2009_____________________Magazine
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zupi Zupi

About Zupi:

A different magazine. A magazine created for designers who understand design. With content that designers wants. Less text, a lot of information and plenty of images.

We are not saying we know everything that the designers want, but the fact is that after so many years involved with Zupi, in contact with the design of great communities around the world and with so many graphic artists who interviewed, we can say we have a good perpective.

We know they want inspiration, references, debates, stories and the most important: entertainment and recognition for what they make best.

Title: Cut And Paste_______Year: 2009_____________________Event / Show
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cut And Paste Cut And Paste
Cut&Paste is a social arena for the discovery, advocacy, and elevation of design.

We recognize that in a competitive marketplace, talent unseen or undeveloped is talent wasted. Such talent need not go to waste. Cut&Paste’s mission is to provide channels of visibility and inspiration for designers, both aspiring and established, to reach their existing audience as well as potential fans. Our targeted goals are to promote the designer’s ability to achieve exposure as an individual; to expand the designer’s range of possibility in attracting professional opportunities; to form and encourage positive interaction within the design community; and to broaden the mainstream perception of design and further its appreciation by sharing and demystifying the creative process.

A world full of inspired people is a better world. Designers discover inspiration in unexpected places, but express it in ways that color and shape the objects and experiences of our everyday lives. How do they do it? At Cut&Paste, we're dedicated to exploring the creative process—pushing, prodding, putting it under the spotlight—and we're endlessly optimistic about the influence that sharing design can have on the world.

Pixel Immersive Gallery
156 Augusta (map)
7:00 to close

The Artillerist is an independent project of the 2008 Scotiabank Nuit Blanche Toronto Festival and part of the programming schedule.
For one sleepless night, experience Toronto transformed by artists.Discover art in galleries, museums and unexpected places. From bridges and tunnels to warehouses and stadiums, choose from more than 155 destinations and chart your own path.

INFO:
The premise of the show is based on the juxtaposion of guns, art and interactivity, satirically promoting the use of guns that make art - not war!

Artillerist is an immersive multi-projection-based installation which involves networking a series of Wii controllers embedded in fake plastic toy guns enabling visitors to use them as a series of customized 'brushes' to digitally paint on ornate hanging canvases within the gallery space.

The exhibit features multiple audience-controlled interactive brushes - fake plastic toy guns designed by the artists - that gives audience participants the chance to take original artworks created by the artists and re-appropriate them for their own digital painting experience.

A Is For Apple A Is For Apple

A is for apple
- Interactive Art Work
My Contributions: Animation / Design / Audio Design

A is for Apple is a flash website project that uses the hypertext linking of interactive work to investigate a cryptography or hermeneutics of the the apple. Using an ever expanding series of associative links, the work looks for hidden meanings, coincidences and insights that all stem from the apple. The image of the apple leads to references and ideas borrowing from Western Metaphysics, popular culture, the history of cryptography, ideas of language, and psychoanalysis.

The was constructed using the paradigm of collage. First paper collages were made that became the basis for photoshop images. And then, in collaboration with flash animators Rob Whynot, Randy Knott, and Ron Gervais, animated and interactive pages were made. The installation portion of the exhibition includes a large map of the project, 14 of the orginal collage drawings and 14 photoshop images.
